In spring of 2014 during the preparations of Jeff’s final bachelor exam at the Conservatory of Amsterdam ‘Trio Mañanitas’ was born. Trio Mañanitas plays classic and flamenco crossover music. All arrangements are true originals.
Dutch flamencoguitarist Jeff Heijne learns to play guitar at the age of 8. Experiencing flamenco music at a very young age convinces him to study flamenco guitar as main instrument. At the age of 18, Jeff is admitted to study Flamenco Guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, becoming the very first to study a Bachelor Flamenco in Amsterdam. Performing solo and together with other artists in the Netherlands and in Spain, Jeff records his first solo album in 2013. Jeff passes his final bachelor exam at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the summer of 2014 (very excellent) and is currently studying his master-degree. Laura Rafecas (violin) from Vilafranca de Penedés learns to play the violin at the age of 7.
At the age of 14, Laura is admitted to the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona.
She passes her final exam bachelor in music at the age of 18. She moves to the Netherlands in 2007 where she’s admitted to Codarts, the University for the Arts in Rotterdam. At the age of 20 she passes her final exam in the bachelor of music at Codarts. For another term she studies a master in performance at Codarts and passes her final in 2011 with a graduate 9.0. Alejandro Sanchez Gilabert (cello) was born in Calella (catalonia) in 1988. At the age of 8, he received his first cello lesson in his hometown in Barcelona. He made an exceptional progress that at the age of 10, he was accepted into Escolania de Montserrat (famous music institution for young talent in Catalonia). He then continued his music study with Marck Friedhoff at the conservatory in Badalona for 7 years, where he finished his study with excellent mark. Alejandro moved to the Netherlands to study at Rotterdam conservatory. Currently, he is a 1st year master student in the class of Herre jan Stegenga. He complemented his studies by taking master classes and lessons with Asier Polo, Christoph Henkel, Philippe Entremont, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Diana Ligeti and Ángel Luis Quintana.
